Customer Reviews
Overall rating: 5.0 / 5 from 20 reviews.
I was looking for an automatic watch for regular use and this has worked out really well. Very satisfied with the overall quality.
It is fully mechanical. A Seiko NH35 automatic with 24 jewels sits behind the deep black dial with a date window, winding as you move and storing up to 48 hours.
What size is the Royal Obsidian?
The Royal Obsidian is 42mm wide and 13mm thick, weighing 134g. Its 22mm stainless steel band runs to 225mm, which suits an average to larger wrist.
How do I set the date on the Royal Obsidian?
Pull the crown to its first position and turn it. The date on the Royal Obsidian advances directly, without running the hands twice around the dial.
Is the Royal Obsidian water resistant?
3ATM, or 30 metres on the Royal Obsidian. That covers rain, splashes and handwashing. Do not swim, shower or dive in it. The steel bracelet handles damp fine either way.
Should I choose the Royal Obsidian or one of the alternatives?
Only the appearance differs. The Royal Obsidian gives you deep black dial with a date window on a stainless steel bracelet, while Arctic Glacier, Midnight Sapphire and Imperial Ivory cover the other finishes.
How accurate is the Royal Obsidian?
Automatics trade absolute accuracy for craftsmanship. The Royal Obsidian will need resetting every couple of weeks, which is the deal you make with a mechanical watch.
