Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 26 reviews.
The improved movement and updated strap are the two changes that interest me most. I enjoy the mechanical side of a skeleton watch, but comfort also matters for regular wear. These updates give me more to consider beyond its appearance.
My wrist is quite small, so I was unsure about the fit. After adjusting the strap, the watch sat comfortably and looked better on my wrist than I expected.
The updated strap and 316L stainless steel case are the main attractions for me. I prefer a watch that feels comfortable and uses thoughtfully chosen materials. The exposed mechanism adds character, while these upgrades make this version more appealing as an everyday option.
I like seeing sapphire crystal and 316L stainless steel included together. The skeleton dial initially caught my attention, but the crystal and case material are also details I consider when choosing a watch. The black-and-white styling brings the whole design together nicely.
The sapphire crystal caught my attention first, followed by the movement upgrade. Both relate to what I find interesting about this design: the view of the mechanism and the mechanism itself. I’d be curious to learn more about the movement improvements.
Why can I see through the dial of the Orbis Twilight?
Skeletonising removes the dial material that would normally hide the movement. The Orbis Twilight shows black skeleton dial with blue detailing with the balance wheel turning behind it.
How is the Orbis Twilight powered?
The Orbis Twilight is a self winding automatic. An in house automatic mechanical 2801, skeleton optimised, up to 48 hours of reserve, nothing to replace.
What are the case dimensions?
The Orbis Twilight is 44mm across and 11mm thick, on a 26mm silicon band with a 234mm total length. That covers most wrists from 6.5 to 8 inches.
Can I wear the Orbis Twilight in water?
3ATM, or 30 metres on the Orbis Twilight. That covers rain, splashes and handwashing. Do not swim, shower or dive in it. The silicon strap handles damp fine either way.
What separates the Orbis Twilight from its siblings?
Only the appearance differs. The Orbis Twilight gives you black skeleton dial with blue detailing on a white silicon strap, while Orbis Eclipse, Spectrum Synapse and Spectrum Oracle cover the other finishes.
How do I clean the silicon strap?
Rinse it under a tap and wipe it dry. Silicon suits an Indian summer better than leather, which is why the Orbis Twilight comes on it.
